Internet Speed Test

The Wisconsin DPI is committed to improving digital equity in the state of Wisconsin. As part of their efforts, the Wisconsin DPI is collaborating with Measurement Lab (M-Lab) to collect data on internet connection speeds across Wisconsin. The Wisconsin DPI will use M-Lab’s internet speed test data to create detailed reports and to provide maps of internet speeds across the state. These reports can help the Governor’s Task Force on Broadband Access and other broadband task groups target initiatives to improve internet speeds and performance. In order to get an accurate picture of the state, they need a lot of data. That’s where you come in.

The Rio Community School District invites you to participate in this collection to help the Wisconsin DPI to accurately measure residential internet speeds in our community. We encouraging families to test their internet connection speeds by participating in this initiative. The URL to link to is https://speed.measurementlab.net/#/. Please feel free to take the speed test several times, the more Wisconsin data there is the more accurate picture they have about internet connection speeds in our community.

For more detailed information, refer to the Broadband Speed Test page on the DPI website. If you have any questions or need help, please contact Bill Herman at bill.herman@dpi.wi.gov. Thank you for your help in ensuring digital equity in Wisconsin!
